Rules for Sharing a Bathroom
Whether you’ve had to share a bathroom all your life or it’s something new you’re about to experience, there are some rules to follow to keep everyone happy and the space clean. These include the following.
Have a schedule
Whether its family or a roommate, your schedules may be pretty similar, and you may find yourselves leaving the house at the same time (or close to the same time) in the morning. If that’s the case, everyone still needs time in the bathroom to get ready and determining a schedule will help the morning flow smoother and give everyone a chance to get ready.
Everyone has to agree and stick to the schedule for it to work, but it also has to be a little flexible for those unexpected things that might go wrong in the morning. Talking this over with others and finding times that will work best is important.
Don’t use all the hot water
There’s nothing worse than jumping into a shower and finding out there’s no hot water. This can set the tone for the rest of the day and put people in bad moods. Be considerate of others and get in and out of the shower in enough time so that there’s hot water for everyone.
Replace the toilet paper
Almost everyone has been there before. There’s nothing more frustrating than reaching for the toilet paper to finish your business and discovering there isn’t any. Be considerate of others and replace the roll when it’s gone and remind them they need to be considerate too.
Clean up after yourself
Unless you have a maid, you’ll need to take care of your mess once you leave the bathroom and on the countertops in Aurora. This will make it easier for others to get ready and use the space, and you don’t want to have to deal with their mess, do you?
